We visited Beacon Hall on a cloudy day that wound up giving us some rain and a sun shower or two, but that didn’t dampen the excitement. As you can see from the photos, the course is always in great shape.

Designed by Bob Cupp and Tom McBroom, Beacon Hall is a tale of two nines: the front a parkland/Carolina style nine and the back nine links style. Bob Cupp has never received the attention we think he deserves from his Canadian courses.

Apart from that, Cupp seems to have had a significant influence on Canada’s own Tom McBroom as it is often difficult to distinguish between a Cupp and McBroom course, which is a good thing.
