Black Diamond Ranch’s Quarry Course is one of the most photographed golf courses in the world. Some may find that difficult to believe…a Florida golf course? With that sort of moniker? But this central Florida Tom Fazio design, built within limestone quarries, is not your typical Florida golf course.

The stretch of holes from 13 – 17 is where the quarry holes unfold, and they are undoubtedly worldclass, but focusing only on that stretch of the course ignores the fact that the rest of the property is quite unique for the state with significant elevation change and tumbling topography.

At one time, most golfers could only dream of an invite to play Black Diamond Ranch, but the club now offers public access if you stay and play.

Apart from the Quarry Course, there is another 18 hole championship course (The Ranch Course), which many argue is as good as the Quarry.

If you’re looking to head south this winter, or are visiting Florida anytime, the opportunity to play a private golf course with this sort of prestige and acclaim shouldn’t be missed. It’s one of the best golf experiences in all of Florida — make sure to bring a camera.
