If you haven’t had the opportunity to visit Cape Breton Island and the venerable Cape Breton Highlands Links you have no idea what you’re missing. Without a doubt, the property here will take your breath away. No other course we’ve played takes you on a journey like Stanley Thompson did here in Ingonish, Nova Scotia. The course is in the best shape it’s been in decades with some much needed TLC over the last handful of years and other options for golf on the Island make it even more worth your while.

It’s rare to meet such a perfect pairing of land and landscape. A golf course routing that is as genius as you can get is coupled with one of the greatest walks in golf this game will ever see. We don’t like to overload our narrative with so much gushing, but Highlands Links is one of the few courses that actually deserves such praise.

A word of caution: yes, this is a photo tour, but photos will never do justice.
